PROGRAMS - Horse Training Certification Overview
Colorado Campus
Our Colorado Campus offers both the John & Josh Lyons Certification Program and the Josh Lyons Accreditation Program. These horse training certification programs are taught at the Mesa County Fairgrounds and can be taken in any order. Students can bring their own two horses or choose to rent horses for use during the program.
The John & Josh Lyons Certification Program focuses on ground work, starting horses under saddle, and building your business. We will cover topics such as: Developing Leadership Skills, How to Set Up Clinics, Planning Demonstrations, Developing Sponsor Relationships, Advertising, Social Media, Networking and Marketing.
The Josh Lyons Accreditation Program is structured to specifically target and refine the horse training techniques needed to go to the show pen or train higher level performance-based riders and clients. Modules included: The Essentials, The 5 Releases, Serpentines, Shoulder Work, Gear Work, and Speed Control & Rider Position.
Arizona Campus
Our Arizona Campus offers both the L1-Core Skills and Fundamentals Horsemanship Program and the L2-Intermediate Professional Horseman Program. These horse training certification program are taught at Rocking Horse, LLC and can be taken in any order. Students can bring their own two horses or choose to rent horses for use during the program.
The L1-Core Skills and Fundamentals Horsemanship Program focuses on ground work, starting horses under saddle, and building your business.
